Dr Sarah Greenwood is a compassionate and caring female Obstetrician and Gynaecologist.
She holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from the University of New South Wales and a Bachelor of Science (Medicine) with Honours. She completed her specialist Obstetrics and Gynaecology training at Royal North Shore Hospital before undertaking additional fellowship training in maternal-fetal medicine and obstetric and gynaecological ultrasound.
Dr Greenwood holds a Diploma of Diagnostic Ultrasound, which recognises her specialist skills in performing and interpreting obstetric and gynaecological ultrasound scans. She utilises these skills in her work as a sonologist at Ultrasound Care, a tertiary-level ultrasound practice.
She has been a participating surgeon for the Open Heart International Team in Nepal, providing care to women with prolapse.
She has relished opportunities in teaching junior doctors and medical students throughout her career. In addition to her private practice at the SAN, she works as a visiting medical officer at Northern Beaches Hospital, where she mentors and supervises obstetricians in training.
Her husband and four young children are her greatest joys in life and you may often see her running the local streets with a pram in tow. As a mother herself, Dr Greenwood can empathise with the issues of balancing family responsibilities and work and constantly strives to better the lives of the women she meets.
